WHO WE ARE
REGION OF PELOPONNESE
The Region of Peloponnese is one of the thirteen Regions of Greece, with an area of 15.490 km2, a total population of about 540.000 inhabitants (EL.STAT 2021) and has a human development index of 0,849 points remaining ninth highest in Greece. It is composed of 5 large geographical units, Arcadia (capital Tripoli), Argolida (capital Argos), Corinthia (capital Corinth), Lakonia (capital Sparta) and Messinia (capital Kalamata). The Peloponnese is practically an island and offers a large coastline with an increased population during the holiday months due to the touristic activity.
The Region of Peloponnese invests in the enhancement of cooperation with the European Union, aiming to promote European values and exploit European resources for local development.
It is one of the most active Regions in Greece in the field of European projects, particularly in the areas of E-Health, Sustainability, Social Cohesion and Solidarity, etc. It actively participates in more than 17 European programmes, which ranks it among the top Regions of Greece and demonstrates the Regional Authority’s strategy for the exploitation of European resources for the benefit of the local society and economy.
KMOP Policy Center
KMOP, founded in 1977 in Greece, is a leading civil society organisation dedicated to empowering and enhancing the well-being of individuals and communities through social support services, education, research & policy and, raising awareness on current societal challenges. Over the years, KMOP has broadened its impact to a global scale, maintaining a presence in three countries—Greece, Belgium, and North Macedonia—with permanent offices in Athens, Piraeus, Kifissia, Thessaloniki, Brussels, and Skopje.
At the heart of KMOP‘s work is the commitment to tackle social challenges through evidence-based solutions that foster individual and collective prosperity. CARDET
CARDET (Center for the Advancement of Research and Development in Educational Technology) is one of the leading research and development center in the Mediterranean region with global expertise in project design and implementation, capacity building, and e-learning. CARDET is independently affiliated with universities and institutions from around the world, such as the Yale University and the International Council of Educational Media. It has completed numerous projects relating to the development of capacity building and planning in education and VET, social justice and integration, inclusive education, adult learning, youth support, eLearning, educational technology, skills and gaps assessments in educational institutions, civic engagement, social integration, and quality assurance.
CARDET brings together an international team of experts with long global expertise in research, foresight, educational technology, instructional design, eLearning, professional capacity building, innovation, social and economy integration and human resource development.
Cyprus Labour Institute of the Pancyprian Federation of Labour
The Cyprus Labour Institute (INEK- PEO) is a trade union initiative of the Pancyprian Federation of Labour (PEO) established in 2002. Although under the umbrella of PEO, INEK is an independent and autonomous research and educational centre operating at a professional and scientific basis. Since its establishment, INEK-PEO has built up an expertise in different areas of interest, including among other fields of migration, gender, inequalities, discrimination, industrial relations, working conditions, employment and social policy and company restructuring. Given that research in the respective fields of observation is not very extended in Cyprus, INEK’s research activities during the last twenty years, is widely recognised by all those concerned with labour, economic and social policy at national level; namely: the public authorities, the social partners, the media, the NGOs, the academic community and the society at large.
COCETA
COCETA is The Spanish Confederation of Worker Cooperatives. It represents 15 regional organisations that gather almost 19.000 cooperatives and more than 319.000 workers.
Our mission is the representation, promotion, training, and improvement of the cooperative business model. COCETA defends the interests of work cooperatives, promotes social and labour improvements for collective entrepreneurs, and creates and maintains employment.
LAND
LAND Impresa Sociale s.r.l. is a Social Agricultural Enterprise founded in December 2021, aimed at developing a center for ecological transition and sustainable agriculture while implementing national and international projects focused on environmental protection and regeneration. It has at its disposal a farm located in the province of Palermo, which will host an agriworking center, with both green and smart working space for staff and wide outdoor space for innovative farming and for educational and cultural activities with community and beneficiaries. LAND encourages the green revolution we are currently living, pursuing the goal of innovation and business in the environmental, educational and social fields including: sustainable rural development, climate change mitigation, community resilience, intercultural dialogue, active citizenship, ecological transition, social and territorial cohesion, sustainable mobility, regenerative tourism, digitisation and Living Lab development.
